Coastal Cleanup Day 2002
Under the supervision of NISD instructors and divemasters, volunteer divers: Lebanese and tourists from Europe and the Arab countries conducted dives to pick up trash from various dive sites close to the shore.
100 volunteers participated in this event. 60 divers conducted 10 dives from 9:00 am till 5:30 pm retrieving all
sorts of debris (car tires, glass bottles, metallic cans, plastic cups,
ropes, plastic and metal pipes, clothes, shoes…). |
