Coastal Cleanup Day 2003

Watch, Red Bull, Cyberia, Sohat, Sukleen and NISD, the National
Institute for Scuba Diving in Lebanon - NISD organized and coordinated
the coastal cleanup day on Saturday 21 September 2003.

| Under the supervision of NISD
instructors divemasters and crew, volunteer
divers, both Lebanese and tourists from Europe and the Arab countries
conducted dives to pick up trash from various dive sites close to the
shore. |

| 110 volunteers participated in this
years event as compared to 100 volunteers in the year 2002.
80 divers conducted 10 dives from 9:00 am till 5:30 pm retrieving all
sorts of debris (car tires, glass bottles, metallic cans, plastic cups,
ropes, plastic and metal pipes, clothes, shoes…).
